RHOA Tell the Truth Tuesday

Do you have a question that peaks your curiosity?  Feel free to send your questions to BLUSH Society to be answered during our new segment called Tell the Truth Tuesday.

First, I want to express my gratitude for BLUSH Society as we reach women across state lines!  I received a question from Debbie in Texas:  I was watching the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) and was wondering, “How do you avoid allowing someone to bring you out of your character?”
If you look at the FAQ page on the blog, I share that one of the things I draw inspiration from is reality TV shows.  Once you cut through the drama, you will actually see the hustle, passion and life experiences of people that are really like you and I.  Sometimes seeing others mistakes or shortcomings is therapeutic.  Not only is it invaluable lessons learned, but it triggers wonderful questions like this for Tell the Truth Tuesday.

Here’s a little background to bring you up to speed regarding the question.  During the RHOA reunion show, cast members Kenya and Porsha had a heated argument that escalated into a physical altercation.  After the incident Porsha expressed frustration, embarrassment and regret that she allowed someone to bring her out of character. More importantly, she revealed that she was pushed to her breaking point.

View this week’s Tell the Truth Tuesday video as I share my thoughts on the true essence of Debbie’s question.  Learn how to avoid allowing someone to bring you out of your character.  Also, find out the #1 reason why your character is compromised in hostile situations.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. ~Isaiah 54:17
