The #1 Secret You Should Never Keep When Dating

 

During the start of my holiday break, I had a chance to catch up on some of my reality shows.  Love and Hip Hop was one of them and I was truly floored by one of the scenes. 

Long story short, a cast member was dating a guy for over two years. She strongly felt this relationship would lead to a promising future.  But there was one problem- she decided to keep a major secret from him.  The secret was that she had a six year old daughter… you do the math.
I know you’re reading this and thinking that “this is ludicrous" and "what woman in her right mind would keep her child a secret?”  The truth is that there are so many things people are not forthcoming with when dating someone that should be revealed early on in the relationship. 

Some things should never be kept a secret the minute you decide to invest your time and energy.  It definitely violates that trust factor which is the foundation that all relationships are built upon.

Take this as a valuable lesson that certain things in our life make us who we are and represents that SELF factor (BLUSH Society’s Principle #1) that makes every woman unique.  





In this case, your child is your Past, Present, and Future.  If you feel ashamed to share aspects of your life that represents who you are as a woman, you seriously need to think twice about why you strongly feel there’s a future with this special someone in your life.
